Daniel Steibelt wrote an enormous number of works throughout his life, and while his operatic works are perhaps the best well known, he also wrote extensively fo the piano. ‘Britannia: An Allegorical Overture’ is a piece commemorating the successes of the British naval fleet in 1797, and is a classical work full of drama, detail and musicality.
