In May 2015 Weg/Go journalist Erns Grundling was disillusioned with love, life and himself. He embarked on a life-changing journey: a solo walk along the Camino – despite being overweight and nursing an injury. Walk it Off recounts Erns’s 1 025 kilometres without cell phone, camera or watch, rediscovering the moment, shedding 10 kilo’s and undergoing an inner transformation. About the author

Erns Grundling is a TV presenter (kyk NET Elders: Die Camino, Die Ware Naarheid and Via Weg! Agterpaaie) and multi-award-winning journalist. He previously worked at Weg, Lit Net, Insig and Huisgenoot. He hails from Port Elizabeth and now lives in Cape Town. His 2017 travel memoir Elders, of which Walk It Off is the translation, was a huge hit.
