Travel Notes of China 

From March to July in 1921, Akutagawa Ryunosuke conducted interviews in China and he travelled in Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan and Datong, etc. As he returned to Japan, he wrote travel notes about what he saw and heard in the trip, which were serialized in Daily News. This book is a collection of those travel notes. In the book, the author writes scenic spots and Chinese landscapes that he saw mixed with his own views and opinions. During his stay in China, Akutagawa Ryunosuke also visited Zhang Taiyan, Gu Hongming and Zheng Xiaoxu, etc. and such interviews are recorded in the book as well.
