Sobre el autor

Alexander Pope (1688-1744) was a celebrated English poet and satirist.  His verse translations of the Iliad and the Odyssey were long the venerable standards in English, and remain of great interest today. Pope’s poetry, especially such satirical masterworks as The Rape of the Lock (1712) and The Dunciad (1728), brought the English heroic couplet to the height of epigrammatic sophistication.
