From his beginnings in Kloten, a small town near Zurich, to his rise to stardom in Thailand, the book delves into the life of a player whose talent and resilience captured the hearts of a country. 

As a teenager, Charyl became a world champion with the Swiss U-17 side and turned down Juventus – twice!

At just 21, he courageously moved to Thailand – his mother’s home country – and joined Buriram United in 2013. His new club won the domestic treble in his first season, but Charyl’s transition to his new environment was not without its arduous challenges, both on and off the pitch. His perseverance in the face of adversity is a testament to his character.

The book also highlights Charyl’s rise to stardom with the Thailand national team, from the U-23 squad to his pivotal role in the historic 2014 AFF Cup victory. Just as his career was hitting new heights, a career-threatening injury was a massive blow at the worst possible time. However, Charyl’s unwavering determination and resilience ensured there was much more to his story in the years to come, inspiring hope and optimism in his fans.
