The first section treats Dante’s “La Vita Nuova” and other poems, as well as poems by Dante’s close friends, such as Guido Cavalcanti and Cino da Pistoia. The second section covers many important poets preceding Dante.

Sobre el autor

Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848, and profoundly shaped Victorian aesthetic ideas and practices. A well-known romantic poet as well, Rossetti was famous for lyrical works such as The Blessed Damozel.
