Jerome K. Jerome
Malvina of Brittany (Barnes & Noble Digital Library)

Soporte

This collection of short stories and a novella captures much of the whimsy for which Jerome is known. “Malvina of Brittany” follows the exploits of a mischievous fairy who was once the favored attendant of Queen Harbundia of Brittany in 2000 B.C. Banished from her kind because of a foolish act, Malvina is forced to travel alone through time until she is discovered in 1914 and introduced to English village society—with humorous and unexpected results. Also includes “The Street of the Blank Wall, ” “The Lesson, ” “Sylvia of the Letters, ” “The Fawn Gloves, ” and “His Evening Out.”

Sobre el autor

Jerome Klapka Jerome (1859-1927) was a British humorist and travel writer. As an actor, journalist, and short story writer, he had little luck for much of his early career. He is best known for the charming and often hilarious Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog), an account of a laconic boating expedition, based on a similar trip he and his wife took.
