He wanted to read the whole thing, all the way through from beginning to end. A simple ambition perhaps, but in the cluttered life of Henry Bemis, an impossible task, until now. "Time Enough at Last" was adapted for television as an episode of The Twilight Zone in 1959, starring Burgess Meredith.
