Ruby H. Happel-Holtz was born of Indian and Irish ancestry in southern Indiana. She is the mother of four, grandmother to nine, and a noted author and artist of several published books, including The Unconquered Hearts and On Wings of Change. Retired from careers in space technology, interior design, and marketing research, she spends her time painting, writing, and reading in her home in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.
