Origins and Development of Chaoshan Culture 

Chaoshan culture is a regional subculture of Han culture. It gradually formed under the influence of the natural environment in Chaoshan area (centered on the current Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang) during the long historical development process and integrated into the developing Han culture. Secondly, Chaoshan culture contains many cultural traits, which have a certain degree of stability and constitute a system that is different from other cultures in the same region and also differs from other regional cultures in the surrounding areas. Thirdly, Chaoshan culture is a dynamic and open system. After forming its own system, due to the migration of Chaoshan people, Chaoshan culture spreads abroad and absorbs elements of other cultures, continuously developing.
