Pengarang: George Meredith

George Meredith (1828-1909), who did not attend a university, worked as a reader for publishers Chapman and Hall. He rejected some of the most popular literature of the Victorian period, and his own work suffered a similar fate until the 1860s. His most highly-regarded works are The Egoist and The Ordeal of Richard Feverel, and he wrote, in total, fifteen novels and eight books of poetry.
