Authentic Love 

I trust as you are reading my poetry you will experience a combination of everything that love entails: Humor, pain, anger, happiness. These experiences are written in the forms of poems. In love too many times
giving my genuine love to the swine’s
Quality is so difficult to find
and quantity was always naked standing by

So exhausted from not skipping any steps
The lesson was harshly taught; only when
I started loving myself!

So happy the universe kept its word
and patiently waited for me to come home
Many nights I thought it was my last chance
Then the universe whispered;
Stop being so swift to take off your pants!

I thought if I give all the love I had
I would spend the rest of my life in “ferry” land
Life taught me not to give my love for free
because quality and respect doesn’t grow on trees

Genuine love can be abused and misused
The experience kept me isolated and confused
but life kept my head above the water
and my strong will prohibited me from going under!

Life is fair game
and the good news is I have no shame!
I’ve lost many love battles
but I had enough guts to always tackle another
with the new information saturated I my mind
I have stop being unworthy for the last time!
