Taking "virtue" as the fundamental clue, this book explores the consistent development of Chinese history and civilization inheritance, starting from the mythological story of Pangu creating the world and ending in the era of various schools of thought during the Warring States period. The most significant feature of this book lies in grasping the fundamental point of "virtue" and deeply revealing the face of Chinese civilization in different historical periods through analyzing its origin and development in history, exploring its historical manifestations in different historical periods, and elucidating the guiding role it plays in historical development as the foothold. Using research methods and perspectives such as historical documents, archaeological research, and modern science, it introduces new research results in the academic community, which to some extent subverts some of the history and civilization history that the public is familiar with. Therefore, this book is not only limited to revealing to readers the evolution process of civilization development, but more importantly, the author’s sorting out and elaboration of this civilization evolution are based on a series of new conclusions drawn from rigorous scientific methods, as well as a new in-depth analysis of the different roles these new conclusions play in the process of historical development and civilization evolution.
