From a tough upbringing to the throes of alcoholism, Clarke persevered through determination and hard work to become a brilliant soulful player, vocalist, songwriter, entertainer and producer. He left behind a rich legacy through the many great albums he produced that have endured the test of time and will continue to do so. He was a harmonica player’s harmonica player and should always hold a spot in the heart of all blues musicians and fans.
