Creators of human civilization can be mainly divided into two categories: some people turn great dreams into real life, while others convert irrealizable life into great dreams. Pessoa’s definitely the latter. He said that ‘I’m just the bridge between what I do not have and what I do not want.’ Through this bridge, we can see that ’the shining rationality lights up darkness of life’ and ‘life full of paradoxes just like thorns of roses’. We can see a genuine, big, sensitive, tired and ambivalent heart.
