Go Down, Moses is one of the most famous works of William Faulkner, is also an important constituent part of "Yoknapatawpha".The southern plantation owner Macaslin had a daughter with a slave, and then fathered a son Tyrael with the daughter.Tyrael later married another slave Tany, who belonged to the plantation owner Buchamp, and their children ’s surname was Buchamp. Macaslin’s granddaughter got married to Edmond. The book is about the complicated relationship between the descendants of these three surnames. The most colorful character is Macaslin’s grandson Isaac, who led by black hunters, participated in the bear hunting as a child. When he grew up, he saw through the abnormal relationship between white people and black slaves and voluntarily gave up his family property to work as a carpenter in the town.
