Zhao Pu, whose courtesy name was Zeping, was a founding hero, policy planner, and military strategist of the Northern Song Dynasty. He was also Emperor Taizu’s most capable assistant during the founding period of the dynasty. His life was full of ups and downs. He served as prime minister three times, assisting two emperors and participating in almost all significant events in the early Song Dynasty.
