Marianne Erika Meyer studierte Pädagogik in Frankfurt, als sie ihren Mann beim Kauf eines Autos kennen und lieben lernte. Mitte der 1980er Jahre übersiedelten sie für zehn Jahre nach Kalifornien. Dort studierte die Autorin Ernährungswissenschaft. Ihre Doktorarbeit über Immunabwehr und Spirulina veröffent­lichte sie in ihrem Bestseller 'Spirulina, das blaugrüne Wunder’ beim Windpferd Verlag. Sie lebte abwechselnd in Südhessen, Marokko und einem Bauernhaus in Portugal. Derzeit kümmert sie sich neben ihrer Arbeit um wilde Katzen und Hunde. Der plötzliche Übergang ihres geliebten Mannes in die geistige Welt und seine beweiskräftigen Nachtodkontakte haben Marianne E. Meyers Fokus zumindest vorübergehend von Gesundheitsthemen hin zu Spiritualität gelenkt.
