Douglas Baker has worn out many perfectly reasonable shoes in his practice of mindful walking. He often sits down to practice seated meditation as well. He’s the owner of three bicycles and countless yoga mats. When he isn’t biking, walking, doing yoga, or meditating, he writes, speaks, and leads workshops on yoga and meditation. He has a counseling practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts, using yoga and meditation as medicinal practices. He considers being a parent and the luxury of walking to work among life’s great riches.
