Dictionary of Maqiao (Revised Edition) carefully selects writers with outstanding achievements, distinct style and extensive influence after mid and late 1970s, and sorts, summaries and selects their works in a comprehensive manner. Works of each writer are made into series, which are different in number of volumes and named after title of certain work (book name of long works). Dictionary of Maqiao (Revised Edition) is one of the series of books for reading and appreciation. I’ve been engaged in literature writing for 30 years, and often feel ashamed of the scattered works. Given my great interests in science and results of self-study, I could probably become an engineer or doctor. It’s unlikely for me to engage in writing without the impacts of ‘Cultural Revolution’ since I neither have the talents required to be a literator, nor believe in the power of literatures. It’s more like an inevitable choice and yield to my fate, a suppression and hidden pain in my heart as well as an obsession and strong will, which make me expressing discontents.
