U. K. Srivastava, obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from Lucknow University and did his post-doctoral work at Iowa Slate University. A well known author and management consultant, he is currently Professor of Economics al Indian Institute of Management. Ahmedabad (IIMA). D. K Desai, was instrumental in setting up the Centre for Management in Agriculture at I1MA and is now Professor at the Centre. He has been on important national and international assignments in the area of management in agriculture and has authored several publications. G. S. Gupta, Professor at IIMA has specialised in economic theory and applied econometrics and has been consultant to the Resource Management Corporation, Maryland, U.S.A, as well as to other organisations in India.
