Self-portrait Stickers of Yan Zhenqing 

Yan Zhenqing (709-785), named Qingchen, was born in Jingzhaowannian (present Xi”an, Shanxi), and his ancestral home was Langya (now Linyi, Shandong). He was admitted to the Jinshi during the Kaiyuan period of Emperor Xuanzong, and served as the Taishou of Pingyuan, known as "Yan Pingyuan". During the Anshi Rebellion, he was effective in fighting. After the rebellion, he was appointed as Shangshu, the teacher of Prince, and the Kaiguogong of Kingdom Lu, also known as "Yan Lu Gong". The book is under the direction of Chu Suiliang and Zhang Xu. The Regular Script is majestic, and the Xing Script is vigorous and comfortable. The round and vigorous brushwork replaces the upright Jin”s brushwork, and the smooth and heavy structure replaces the beautiful two Wang”s calligraphy, forming a family of its own, called "Yan Style".
