Sir Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch, known affectionately as ‘Q’ in the literary world, was an eminent English writer, poet, and literary critic born on November 21, 1863, in Bodmin, Cornwall. His influential role in the arts and letters of his time was augmented by his tenure as the King Edward VII Professor of English Literature at Cambridge University from 1912 until his death in 1944.
