Charles Stoker (1917-1975) was an LAPD Vice-Squad officer who played a key role in 1949 in exposing corruption within the LAPD . His arrest of Hollywood madame, Brenda Allen made national headlines and his testimony before the 1949 Grand Jury resulted in indictments of top LAPD commanders and a their aides. Stoker originally published his expose in 1950 and it has been virtually unattainable until this 2011 reprinting.
