Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Hence, perhaps, some discussion of the play, and of its really great impersonator, Sarah Bernhardt. Neither the poet nor his far-famed interpreter need be disturbed, how ever, by the judgment of superficial critics. If La Prin cesse lointaine be the work of a beginner, we can but regret that there are not a few more beginners with so great a share of youth, enthusiasm and talent clearly proving study as well as genius.
