Octavus Roy Cohen (1891-1959) was an early 20th century American author of detective novels and stories. His most notable creation was “Florian Slappey”, a fictional detective who appeared both in print and in a series of short films. Cohen created a few other detectives such as Jim Hanvey and David Carroll.
