Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Opinions the subject of merriment and satire in a play, which among our present remains of him follows the Frogs in point of time, without naming either the philosopher who originated, or the philosophic pupil who took the trouble to hand them down to posterity, it will be time to inquire, when that play, or rather some portions of it, (the nature of the satire rendering the whole of it inadmissible into the present publication, ) come before us for consideration.
