Was bewirkt den Zusammenhalt in einer Migrationsgesellschaft? Sind es gesellschafts-politische Faktoren wie berufliche Integration,  politische Teilhabe und gesellschaftliche Parität? Oder sind es auch individuelle Faktoren wie Freundschaften,  Sport- und Musik-Aktivitäten,  Religions- und Kulturaustausch? In diesem Band erklären theoretische und empirische Beiträge die Bedeutung von Migration,  Integration,  interkultureller Kompetenz und den Einfluss von Werten,  Normen und Rechtsansprüchen. Daneben fragen fachspezifische Aufsätze,  wie es um die Streitkultur in unserem Land bestellt ist,  was Wertebildung und Menschenrechtsbildung zum Zusammenhalt beitragen,  was interreligiöser Religionsunterricht (am Beispiel Gewalt und Gewaltlosigkeit) und interkultureller Ethikunterricht (am Beispiel Beschneidung) beitragen können und wie interethnische Freundschaften zustande kommen.
 
Which factors do create cohesion in a Migrationsgesellschaft? Are these social-political factors such as professional integration,  political participation or social equality? Are these individual factors such as friendship,  sport and music activities,  or religious and cultural exchange? In this volume theoretical and empirical contributions explain the meaning of migration,  integration,  intercultural competence as well as the effects of values,  norms and legal demands. Furthermore,  essays from experts analyses the Streitkultur in Germany,  the effects of value and human rights formation on cohesion as wells as the effects of interreligious religious education,  intercultural ethics education and interethnic friendships.
